Banners
Some ReadyThemes come preconfigured with text boxes on the storefront page called Banners. They are generally used for slogans or storewide announcements, such as sales. In our example, we'll use the base ReadyTheme, which comes with one Banner.
- You can edit the text of a Banner and make some other change to it, but to change the Banner's location you would have to manually edit the storefront page (SFNT) template code.
- The Banner text field can contain JavaScript, CSS, and Miva template code.
- You can add more Banners, but you would have to manually edit the storefront page (SFNT) template code to make the Banner appear
To Edit a ReadyTheme Banner
- Go to
> ReadyTheme > Banners tab. - In the Banners tab, double-click on one of the Banner records.
- In the Edit Banner dialog box:
3.1. Make any necessary changes.
3.2. Click Save.
| Code: | The code uniquely identifies this Banner record in the admin interface |
| Name: | A display name for the Banner record. It is only shown in the admin interface. |
| Message: | The text that you want to be displayed in the Banner. |
