ReadyTheme

Product Listings

A Product Listing is similar to a category. It's a group of products that appears on the storefront page of your ReadyTheme. For example, you might create a Product Listing to show customers your newest products, or a list of seasonal items.

Just like Images and Banners, your ReadyTheme can come with one or more preconfigured Product Listings. The location of the Product Listing is fixed, but you change the name of the listing and the products that it contains. If you wanted to change the location of an existing Product Listings, or add a new one, you would have to manually edit the template code of your storefront page (SFNT).

Base ReadyTheme

To Edit a ReadyTheme Product Listing

  1. Go to Menu> ReadyTheme > Product Listings tab
  2. In the Product Listings tab, double-click on one of the Product Listing records.
  3. In the Edit Product Listing dialog box:

    3.1. Make any necessary changes.

    3.2. Click Save

Edit Product Listing

The Edit Product Listing dialog box shows a slightly different group of fields, depending on whether you select or Advanced Mode.

Products To Display:
  • All Products: The software will display every product in your store in the Product Listing, however, you can limit the display with the Number of Products field.
  • Products in Category: The software will display all of the products in the category that you select, however, you can limit the display with the Number of Products field.

You can also create a special category just to use in your Product Listing. For example:

  1. Go to Menu> Catalog > Categories tab and create a new category called "New Arrivals".
  2. Edit the new category and add products that you've recently added to your store.
  3. Go back to Menu> ReadyTheme > Product Listings tab > edit a Product Listing dialog box.
  4. In the Edit Product Listing dialog box > Products to Display field, select the New Arrivals category that you just created.
  5. You can also change the name of the Product Listing as it appears in your store. In our example, we're using the base ReadyTheme, which comes with a Product Listing called "Featured Products".
  6. Make sure the Edit Product Listing dialog box is in Advanced Mode, then change the HTML tag that contains the name of the Product Listing. In our example, we'll change "Featured Products" to "New Arrivals".
