The Basket Discount for Specific Products Price Group is a simple Price Group, similar to a store-wide sale. After you create the Price Group, you can select Qualifying Products, products that the customer must purchase to trigger the discount, but the discount is applied to only specific products that you have designated, in the customer’s basket.
To create a Price Group, click the Marketing header and then the Price Groups tab.
Next, click the Add Price Group button in the upper right corner.
In the box that opens, give your Price Group a name. Then decide what the Eligibility is for the Price Group you are creating. Finally, select Basket Discount (Specific Products) in the type field.
Enter a discount amount in the Discount field, and choose between a fixed dollar amount and a percentage.
Enter an amount in the Maximum Discount Amount field. This value is expressed as a dollar amount, so if you enter 10 in the field Miva interprets that to mean $10.
If you set the Maximum Discount Amount to “0,” the Product Discount offer would allow for an unlimited discount in the basket.
In the example above, we have created a Specific Product price group and have set it to give a 10 percent discount on the specific item, which, in this case, is a candle.
When a customer decides to buy the candle, they will see the discount displayed on the product's page, and in the checkout basket when they are paying for their order.
