Customers that have modified any of the following page builder components, which includes the instance template, initialization template, or JS / CSS resources will be blocked from update:
If any of the files above have been modified, customers will see a upgrade validation error which looks like this:
Pre-Upgrade Component Validation This screen will prevent you from upgrading to 10.06.00 if you have customized any files that are part of the components.
There are two ways to get past this validation and install the update.
1. Run updates to see what file(s) have been modified. Go to Here and download the original of the modified files. Via FTP or control panel overwrite the modified files with the original files on your server/site. Repeat the process until the upgrade allows you to continue.
2. For any component you have customized, download the component, extract it and change its component code. This method will also require you to revert the regular components back to default to get past the validation errors.
The reason the PageBuilder Component needs to unmodified is because the 10.06.00 upgrade overwrites these files. Future versions of Miva will introduce component versioning to better address this issue.
Any content changes to the components are not impacted by this. Only changes to CSS/JS/HTML files of the components will cause this validation error
