Categories - URIs

When you create a category the Miva admin automatically creates a corresponding Uniform Resource Identifier (URI).

For example, if we create a “Women’s Shirts” category or child category, the Miva admin creates the URI “/womens-shirts.html” for the category.

Most of the time you will not need to do anything in terms of URIs for your categories, but there may be times when you will want to change the URI. For example, if you edit the “Women’s Shirts” category we created above, because you want it to be “Women’s T-Shirts,” you would need to edit the URI to reflect the update.
