The sheer number of shipping options that can be configured in the Miva Merchant store means you're sure to find the method that works best for you. In the last video we configured a live rate shipping module. In this video, we're going to focus on a static one, Price Table Based Shipping. We’re in the Add and Remove modules tab inside of the Shipping settings area of the Miva Merchant Admin. Here's the Price Table Base Shipping module that I'm looking for. So we'll just need to click its install button. To configure this Price Table Based Shipping module we’ll first need to create a shipping method. I'll call this one “Price Based.” The way this module works is, we’ll need to define a ceiling and a charge. So for instance, if I typed $8 for ceiling and $3 for charge, any orders that total $8 or less at checkout will get charged $3 in shipping fees. Let's keep going. With this configuration, any orders greater than $8, but less than this $15 ceiling will be charged $5.50 in fees, while any orders between $15 and $22 will be charged $10 in shipping fees. Note that in this current configuration, any customer that attempts to go through checkout with an order greater than $22 will not have a valid shipping option to select because they came in higher than your highest Price Table Based Ceiling. For this reason, you may want to cap off your price table with an unrealistically high ceiling as a catch-all shipping fee. Configured like this, any orders that are greater than $22 will be charged $13 for shipping.
