New to Miva Merchant 9.6 there is an optional tool called Review Baskets, which you may find helpful in getting a bird's eye view of the shopping activity in your ecommerce store. With Review Baskets, you are able to glance over information pertaining to shoppers currently visiting your site and what products they have in their basket. Review Baskets is a module that you’ll have to install before you can use. To do that, go into “Utilities” area of your Miva Merchant Store Admin and then click into the Add/Remove Modules tab.
Installing the Review Baskets module is as simple as locating it in this list of available modules and then clicking on this “Install” button. Once installed, you’ll see a new Review Baskets tab in your Utilities Settings area of your Miva Merchant Admin. Here you will see a batch list of all of the current basket sessions in your Miva Merchant store. Customers shopping at your store are assigned a Basket record the moment they add a product to their basket. On this page, you will quickly be able to see the information of these baskets. Here we can see if the baskets are expired, or if they are still valid. If the customer hasn’t logged into a customer account, or if they still haven’t passed the customer information screen at checkout, they will appear as Anonymous.
Here is a customer that is logged into an account, so they’ve been flagged as a Customer. You can see that they currently have one item in their basket and their basket sub total is currently fifteen dollars. Like always, You can choose what columns appear on this list “Show/Hide Columns” button. Furthermore, if you want to see the baskets complete details, you can select a basket record from the batch list and click on the edit button on top.
Lastly, if you need to delete this basket, you have the option to do so by clicking on this “Delete Basket” button. You can also mass delete baskets from the batch list screen if you need to do that as well, You just select the baskets you want to delete and then click on this “Delete” button on top.
Note, that it’s not possible to edit the content of baskets from here. If you are assisting customers with adding products to their basket, that would be done through the “Shop as Customer” functionality. Check out the Shop As Customer video for details on that. And that’s a look at the Review Baskets module in Miva Merchant.
