How to Redeem A Gift Certificate
Once a client has added an item to a cart, and they begin the checkout process, they'll come to the Shipping Options page. They'll see a "Redeem Gift Certificate" button.
You must have an account to be able to redeem a gift certificate. If they click this button and are not logged in, they will get a message saying they need to create an account.
Once they create an account, they'll get this page asking them to enter their Gift Certificate Code. After entering the code they must click "Redeem."
Once they enter their code, they'll get a message stating that the Gift Certificate has been applied to their account. The amount goes into their current balance.
Now they can click the "Checkout" button, and "Apply Credit Balance" towards their invoice.
Once they hit "Continue" they will see their balance applied, and will be able to choose how they want to pay the remaining balance.
In the final invoice the credit will appear.
If your client was already logged in, they will see the "Redeem Gift Certificate at checkout. Once they enter their Gift Certificate Code, they must press "Apply." The rest of the checkout will be the same as above.
