With the release of Miva version 10.09, there is a new TForce Freight module that has been created to replace the freight functionality of the old UPS Developer Kit.
This new module only includes freight functionality, and not regular UPS Shipping options. There is a separate UPS Shipping module that was also released with Miva version 10.09. For information, visit the UPS Shipping module documentation.
To install the module, navigate to Settings>Modules and select the TForce Freight module.
Select the configuration type you are creating. If this is for your production website, select Production. If it’s a test, select Test. After you’ve made your selection, click Continue.
If your web broswer has a pop up blocker, it will block the opening of the box in the next step. Simply disabling the pop up blocker, and reopening the popup window from the blocked warning, will not work. You will have to start the process over completely.
In the box that opens, enter your log in information for your TForce Freight account.
TForce Freight has migrated everyone that has a UPS Freight account to have a TForce Freight account. If you have issues, and know you had a UPS Freight account in the past, you should reach out to TForce.
The TForce log in process, at first, is slightly different than the log in for the UPS Shipping module. But once you are logged in the process is virtually the same.
After that, you are given the option to migrate your Legacy data from the UPS Developer Kit module. To use the migration option, click the Migrate button in the box. If not, click Skip.
If you have not used the UPS Developer Kit, you will not be given the migration option and will have to configure it as a new module.
The module was designed to basically be a one-to-one conversion, for freight shipping, from the old module to the new, and once the migration is complete, you should see all of your old information in the new module. At the same time, the migration process disables freight options in the old module to avoid duplication.
Only settings for freight shipping methods are transferred to the new TForce Freight module.
